Emmaus international
Emmaus is a global movement. Emmaus International is an association with members on four continents. It has its headquarters in Paris. Africa, Asia, North & South America and Europe are organized as regional associations. The regions meet regularly; representatives per country are delegated to this. Country representatives determine the agenda of the meetings.
The board of Emmaus International consists of 24 representatives of Emmaus groups from the four regions. The President is elected at the General Assembly that takes place every four years. This is also where the policy is determined for the coming period.
The following objectives currently apply:
access to clean drinking water; rights of migrants; ethical banking.
